The x-country singletrack trails in the area vary from winding singletrack climbs and descents to fire roads and doubletracks. All the new x-country trails in the area, including Pneuma and Ridgeback, have been built to traverse and flow along the landscape.
JEWELL PASS / PRAIRIE VIEW IN KANASKIS
Driving through the Bow Valley is not enough to make you appreciate the proximity of other playground seemingly so far away. By making your way up to Prairie View trail, you will understand that Kananaskis Country in so close from Canmore and will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Rockies on one side and the Prairies on the other.
RAZOR'S EDGE IN KANANASKIS
An incredible trail with stellar views and exciting terrain that puts it in a class of its own. Razors Edge is like no other ride in the Bow Valley. It's a BIG all mountain trail that utilizes the distinct and rugged terrain found in Quaite Valley.
What makes this ride so unique is the final section of exposed, steep and open ridge which will take you down lengthy sections of slab towards the highway. Expect long and steep sections of slab and in some cases very loose rocks. Incredible views of the surrounding mountains and valley below make this ride not only scenic, but spectacular. The trail builder has really nailed it with this trail, offering something for the more advanced rider that currently does not compare to any other rides in the Bow Valley.
EVENING RIDE ON THE BENCHLANDS IN CANMORE
Minutes from downtown, this classic Canmorite trail network makes for a perfect evening ride. Along the way, the views are fabulous, highlighted by all the most famous peaks of the Bow Valley. As you emerge onto the bench, the views to the west are unobstructed, stretching from Mount Lougheed to the south all the way to Cascade Mountain to the north.
COX HILL IN KANANASKIS
King of Kananaskis Country rides, this trail winds and switchbacks steadily upward through forest with few opportunities to catch your breath. The tree cover dosen't allow for many viewpoints along the way but the summit boasts a full panorama of prairie, foothills, and snowy peaks. The trail is a mix of rocky technical sections, and smooth packed pine needle singletrack.
