YUKON RIVER
The Yukon River trails is one these trails that has earn the title of Classic. It's the type of mountain bike trail that have you yell these childish cries of joy. Pure singletrack from start to finish, you won"t need to stop aside and let crowds go by.
MONTANA MOUNTAIN SHUTTLES
After a short 50 km drive we will arrive in historic Carcross, a picturesque village and home of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation. Perhaps the most photographed town in the Yukon, Carcross was originally named Caribou Crossing for the herd of caribou that swam the narrows between Bennett and Nares lakes.
Montana Mountain provides phenomenal scenery, a fascinating history, and a road for access, but the best thing is that the terrain itself offers challenge and variety that's perfect for mountain biking. Funded through the local Carcross Tagish First Nation, the Singletrack for Success program hired local youth to create mountain biking trails for the betterment of the community. It takes just under 30 minutes to drive up and then you get to tackle the fast flowy tightly built tracks for almost an hour.
MONTANA MOUNTAIN ALPINE
Another great day that starts in the village of Carcross. Get ready for a long thrilling and scenic day in the Yukon Alpine. Away from civilisation, your long ascention to the sumit will provide you with vistas you might want to pull the camera for. At some point, you will start wondering what's for lunch and it should be soon time to get off your saddle, kick your shoes off and snack on something hearty and fresh. The Mountain Hero Trail is the proof of Carcross' mining history as we ride past relics from the past down what used to be a tram line. Enjoy the way down and don't look back!
GREY MOUNTAIN
Grey Mountain dominates the skyline of Whitehorse and from the top there’s a 360-degree panorama, with views of the city and the Yukon River. Seeing a 4,000ft descent stretched out before you takes your breath away. Descending takes you into the alpine duff, where you can shred down with amazing, breathtaking views and steep technicals. You will be drained before the light starts to dim.
